Pellicano to Represent Self in Trial
By LINDA DEUTSCH – 1 hour ago
LOS ANGELES (AP) — A federal judge on Wednesday reluctantly allowed Hollywood private eye Anthony Pellicano to take over as his own lawyer in his trial on charges of illegally wiretapping celebrities.
U.S. District Judge Dale S. Fischer told Pellicano it was a bad decision but he was required by a U.S. Supreme Court ruling to allow the private investigator to do so if he insisted.
Pellicano’s lawyers said later that his motivation was to save them from having to represent him for free in a lengthy trial after the judge refused to appoint them at court expense. Click Here to Continue

Finally, PI Buzz joins PIAVA Blog in publishing the good deeds of private investigators in solving crimes, preventing crimes and undoing wrongs. Jimmie Meesis, who owns, PI Magazine published three “good deed” investigator stories today. See Louisiana PI and Illinois PI and California PI
PIAVA Blog previously posted “good deed” investigator stories Click Here Click Here-NY Investigator and Click Here-Washington Investigator and Click Here-NY PI
Thanks to Jimmie Messis for putting out the “good deeds.” Let’s keep up the “good deeds” theme.
I hope the Federal Trade Commission, FTC, and the FBI, FBI, and the Department of Justice, US Department of Justice, read these “good deed” stories and realize that the professional investigation industry is vital to law enforcement, criminal justice and all businesses. Private investigators do the jobs that the FTC, FBI and Department of Justice, as well as local law enforcement agencies, will not or cannot do.
Think about it.
